Kemptville BIA looking to fill two positions

The Olde Town Kemptville Business Improvement Area is looking for a new leader.
After Deron Johnston who had been in the executive director position for five years recently left for another opportunity, the BIA is accepting applications for someone new to take the role.
BIA Chair Shelley Mitchell says the applicant should be familiar with the association’s 2024 business plan, which was recently adopted.
Mitchell says the successful candidate will be versatile.
“The position is unique in that there’s not particularly one set of skills we’re looking for, we definitely want someone with passion and commitment to small local businesses.”
The BIA is also looking to hire for a marketing coordinator, summer student position through the Canada Summer Jobs program.
The deadline to apply for the executive director position is June 18 while applications are being accepted for the summer student role until June 17.
