September will be proclaimed as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in North Grenville.
The Canadian Cancer Society and the Neon Night Kemptville committee say the North Grenville Council will be proclaiming it and a flag raising ceremony will be happening tomorrow. A flag will be raised at the North Grenville Municipal Office at 9:00am.
According to a media release, the Canadian Cancer Society has invested over $50 million in the last 15 years, which supports over 170 research projects to help children survive cancer and lead full lives. The research would not happen without generous support of people living in communities like North Grenville.
The 2020 Virtual Neon Night has begun and runs until September 19th. The goal is to raise $20,000 through online fundraising, contests and an online auction to support pediatric
