The results are in and for all four of the key patient areas; Winchester District Memorial Hospital is among the best.
According to data collected between July and September of last year, the hospital’s maternity and day surgery wards got scores of 100% beating out the provincial in both categories. The hospital also received high marks in their Emergency department with a 93% score and the Medical/Surgery team getting a 99% client satisfaction rate.
The hospital’s CEO, Cholly Boland says that “It’s a team effort and we should be very proud,” and that “Patient satisfaction is a result of the patient’s entire experience and involves every person the patient had contact with – from our volunteers at the front door to support staff that work behind the scenes.”
The survey asked patients about their overall care and if they would recommend the hospital to their family and friends and the data is collected by National Research Corporation Canada (NRCC), an independent research institute.
