The Upper Canada District School Board’s Champions for Kids foundation is benefiting from the generosity of Uppity Improv Society and Brockville Walmart.
The improv group has donated $1000 to the school board’s foundation just one day after the Brockville Walmart did the same. The money will be used to support families of students attending board schools, so they can participate in sports, arts and other activities outside of school hours. According to the school board the money may also be used on unique needs like glasses, gas cards for parents travelling to hospitals to see their children or purchasing a winter coat for a child without one.
Foundation President David Morrison says they are thrilled to receive the donation, adding they were grateful for the generosity and thoughtfulness of everyone involved.
