At this week’s council meeting the Municipality of North Grenville took time to answer some frequently asked questions about the proposed purchase of the Kemptville Campus.
Chief Administrative Officer Brian Carre presented a power point that answered a range of questions. Regarding how much the buying the campus will cost tax payers the municipality says any costs associated with the purchase will be the responsibility of the not-for-profit that will be managing the facility. They added financial details would not be released until the sale was finalized.
For citizens curious what is actually included in the purchase Carre says they are buying 34 main campus buildings and 633 acres of land on the West Side of Prescott Street, north of Bedell Road and south of Concession Road. There are a variety of buildings included in the deal, like sports facilities and greenhouses.
Carre also noted that they believe the deal will be completed before April of 2018. The complete power point can be found here.
