Where is the best place to set up new benches in North Grenville?
That’s the question the municipality’s accessibility advisory committee is hoping to answer following input received from NG Transit on which areas see the most pick up activity.
The idea of placing benches in the areas that residents could use as a pick up location when arranging an NG Transit pick up, without the bench location being a formal bus stop, came out of the feedback.
At their meeting on Wednesday night, the committee will review the suggested locations which include Walmart, Giant Tiger and McDonalds.
Once the committee creates a list of locations, they can pass a significant resolution requesting council endorse the list and ask that the information be used as a reference tool by staff to determine the locations for new benches.
