Ontario Provincial Police say your seatbelt can only show up for you if you wear it.
Failure to wear a seatbelt caused or was a contributing factor in the deaths of 60 people involved in collisions on OPP-patrolled roads last year.
This Easter long weekend, police are conducting a seatbelt safety campaign.
Officers will be checking vehicles on the roads, ensuring drivers and passengers are wearing their seatbelts.
The fine for not wearing your seatbelt can range from $200 and $1,000, and drivers will also receive two demerit points.Â
