Loyalist College in Belleville is hosting a Spring Open House on Saturday, Apr. 5 where you`ll be able to learn about a variety of full-time, in-class programs as well as online and distance learning options.
You`ll also be able to hear more about four new full-time programs that are launching in the fall; Acupuncture, Dental Office Administration, Industrial Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship and Pharmacy Technician.
“These four new programs have been developed in direct response to our local industry’s workforce needs,” says Dr. Amanda Baskwill, Senior Vice President Academic and Chief Learning Officer. “Whether you’re just about to finish high school or you’re looking for your next step, these new and innovative programs can launch your career in a growing sector.”
The new courses come shortly after the college announced it was suspending 30 per cent of its programs, including Civil Engineering Technology and Project Management.
Similar course cancelations were announced by other colleges including Algonquin College in Ottawa.
