Moose FM bringing the Kemptville 73’s Radio Network to the air

Just like a breakaway on a clean sheet of ice, the Kemptville 73’s Radio Network keeps building momentum.

Following a very successful first month that saw over 700 listeners tune in online, you’ll now have more options for following the 73’s with the network expanding to Moose FM in Kemptville.

Starting Friday night when the Renfrew Wolves visit the North Grenville Municipal Centre, every game this season, including playoffs, can be heard live on radio on 97.5 Moose and online.

The games can also still be heard live on Mixlr and, at home, on Flo Hockey.

The Voice of the Kemptville 73’s, Casey Kenny, said he’s thrilled the network is expanding; “I grew up listening to great broadcasters call hockey games on the radio and I’m thrilled that I get to follow in their footsteps. I hope fans enjoy the games because I know I’ll be loving every minute.”

Kenny will be joined on air by both Graeme Mellon and Noah Prudhomme with Executive Producer Dan Mellon at the helm.

Joël Lamoureux, Regional Content Program Director for Moose FM, said he’s thrilled by the announcement; “As a lifelong hockey fan, I can’t express how proud we are at 97.5 Moose FM to bring Kemptville 73s broadcasts to our listeners. The hockey broadcasts are a first on Moose FM and are a testament to our commitment to supporting local sports and fostering community spirit. We believe in the power of local radio to unite and inspire and we’re excited to deliver every heart-pounding moment of the games to our listeners while celebrating the spirit of our community together. Go 73s!!”

Friday night’s pregame show will start at 7:10 p.m.
