The pause button is being pressed on consultations on updated wetland mapping in our area.
South Nation Conservation, Rideau Valley Conservation and the Raisin Region Conservation Authority say the Ministry of Natural Resources has given the go ahead for the consultations to be paused.
While they are, conservation authorities say they are working with ministry staff, municipalities, and stakeholders to develop a local approach to the new regulations.
Any upcoming open houses on the mapping have been canceled and will be rescheduled.
