North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford says she’s very grateful to live in a peaceful and prosperous country.
Ahead of celebrating Canada’s birthday on Monday, Peckford says we are fortunate to live in a safe community.
She adds she’s also grateful that our kids can have fun and enjoy lots of sports and recreational activities.
Peckford says Canadians share many of the same characteristics.

“Show respect and kindness for each other, I think that’s a really critical part of what it means to live in Canada.”
Peckford adds as Canadians we also work hard to take care of our seniors.
