Having a Canadian team in the Stanley Cup Final has been a definite win for local sports bars and restaurants.
David Sturgeon, Manager at Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill in Kemptville, says his business has been a full house during the series which could see Edmonton become the first team from north of the border to capture the championship since Montreal in 1993.
He says people have just kept coming to see the battle between Edmonton and Florida.
“We have and as the series went on it just seemed to get busier and busier.”

Sturgeon says that there’s no doubt that Edmonton is now Canada’s team, with everyone now cheering for them.
Game 7 between Edmonton and Florida is Monday night at 8 p.m.
