A person is in custody and a child was found safe after a multi-force child abduction response by several police services.

On June 19, just after 2:30 p.m., the Service de Police de la Ville de Montreal (SPVM) notified Ontario Provincial Police and other police services of a child abduction in Montreal.

SPVM identified a suspect and vehicle descriptions, and believed the suspect was headed into Ontario.
