There’s a new location for the needle disposal box at the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit in Kemptville.
It’s been moved from the Kemptville District Hospital to the health unit’s office on the Kemptville Campus.
Officials say all used needles and syringes should be placed into a sharps container or needle drop box.
You should wear thick rubber gloves or poke-resistant gloves if picking up a needle and use pliers or tongs, never your bare hands.
Used needles can be also be dropped off at a local pharmacy.
