Police Board urges drivers to slow down

Slow down on the road.

That from North Grenville Police Service Board members who are worried about residents’ safety.

The board is reminding people that North Grenville has a community-wide 40-kilometre-per-hour speed limit in urban Kemptville and rural subdivisions. Some rural municipal roads are also 40 zones.

Mayor Nancy Peckford says the number of speeding vehicles is “among the top concerns expressed by residents in recent years.”

If residents wish to report a car that is speeding, they can contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or submit a detailed traffic report online at www.opp.ca.

And, for ongoing traffic concerns, residents are encouraged to fill out a Traffic Concern Form on the Municipal website (click on the Service Request icon at www.northgrenville.ca).
