If outdoor rinks aren’t for you, you’ll be able to hit the ice again at the North Grenville Municipal Centre soon. The municipality has announced the return of public skating.
The arena’s capacity limits, established in December before the rinks closed due to public safety restrictions, are also returning. A maximum of 36 people will be allowed on the ice at a time, and a maximum of 12 people will be allowed in the arena’s dressing rooms at a time. Additionally, pre-registration is still required for Public and Family skating sessions.
Family skating sessions, with assistive devices for inexperienced skaters, will be available every day of the week except Tuesdays, starting on January 31st. Adult skating will also be available on weekday mornings, except for Tuesdays, and Public skating sessions without assistive devices will be available every Friday evening.
Tickets cost $3 for adults, and $2 for seniors and children. To register for a session in advance, or learn more about other rules like helmet requirements, visit the Municipality of North Grenville website. Meanwhile, if you’re interested in skating right now, the Kemptville Community Skateway is now open for the winter.
