Business support programs expanded in North Grenville

The Business Support Program has been expanded in North Grenville.

Mayor Nancy Peckford says the program is intended to provide assistance to local businesses as they get back on their feet.

“My Council colleagues and I appreciate this has been a challenging time for local businesses, as many were forced to quickly adapt under COVID-19, often at great expense.”

According to a media release, a marketing firm has been hired to expand the existing buy local #LoveNG campaign. Local business promotion and the LoveNG.ca website has been developed and a focused yearlong marketing campaign will launch later this month. The municipality also says the program now provides advertising with local media outlets at a reduced rate. Businesses can choose from three advertising packages for $500, with the Municipality covering the rest of the cost. More info about advertising can be found here.

Businesses adversely affected by COVID-19 can apply for up to $1,000 to cover costs incurred while adapting their business model due to the pandemic, according to the municipalityThe SBG is a partnership betwewen the Municipality and the Grenville Community Futures Development Corporation.
