Over 100 students graduate from St. Michael Catholic High School

The grade 12 students at St. Michael Catholic High School are heading out into the world. The graduation ceremony was held yesterday afternoon. A total of 103 students graduated and 57 bursaries were handed out.

Principal Tracy O’Brien noted the many accomplishments of the students, including using casual days to raise money for the ALS Society of Canada. She says the graduates are kind people.

School Council Chair Carey Compton says the parents, teachers and staff have invested in the students and the return on that investment is priceless. She says the community is full of praise for the students.

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark visited St. Mike’s prior to the provincial election in June. He says the students asked great questions.

Clark encouraged all the students to continue volunteering in the community after high school.
