After almost two months and a number of revisions the North Grenville Helmet Policy has officially been approved.
As of Tuesday children under the age of 12 must be wearing a CSA approved helmet while on the ice at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. There are some individuals and groups that are exempt from the policy, including coaches and trainers working at Kemptville 73 events and more skilled figure skaters.
A complete list of exceptions can be found in the policy, which can be downloaded here. The municipality will have helmets available for rent at the arena.
