2016 census data released

Newly released data from the 2016 census reveals things are headed in the right direction for North Grenville.

According to the census data the municipality has higher rates of participation and employment than the provincial average, while also boasting a lower unemployment rate. The town’s unemployment rank is just above 5.5 per cent, which makes it almost 2 per cent lower than the province on average.

The town also has a participation rate of just over 67 per cent and 63.3 per cent of residents identified as being employed. Again, these numbers exceed the expectations set by the rest of the province.
