Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment want communities to promote sport.
In partnership with Just Energy Foundation MLSE will be giving out $50,000 in grants for the Community Action initiative. The money is earmarked for groups that are trying to grow the games of hockey, soccer or basketball within their community.
Successful applicants must have a charitable registration number or a charitable trustee. They should also have a plan for lasting impact that builds a more inclusive community and fosters diversity.
