Rideau Valley Conservation Authority says the area is seeing unseasonable water levels in the Rideau watershed.
After heavy rainfall over the last few days river flows are higher than they were at the beginning of the month. Parks Canada staff has slowed the rate of increase on the Long Reach but access roads near Kemptville to communities on the Rideau are still at risk as the water passes through.
Rainfall over the next few days is expected to slow the water in streams like Steven Creek. Residents in North Gower can expect the banks to be near full next week.
