House of Lazarus is bringing a Senator to town.
Fredrik Claesson, defence man for the Ottawa Senators, will be signing autographs at the Joel Steele Community Centre in Winchester on November 3rd. Claesson is just part of the ‘For the Love of the Game’ fundraiser being put on by HoL. During the autograph session visitors will be able to browse thousands of pieces of brand new, trademarked sports memorabilia for purchase at a discounted rate. HoL Operations Manager Jennifer Tenbult says they received a sizeable donation of brand new sports memorabilia and that was where this idea came from.
During the same event raffle tickets will be sold. Up for grabs in the raffle are Senators tickets, a Senators basket and a stick Claesson will be bringing that has been signed by the entire team. Tickets are two dollars each or three for five.
The proceeds from both events will go to the HoL food bank and outreach programs, like starting over kits for fire victims and youth food programs at the Kemptville Youth Centre.
