Brockville Police have released an update about the kitten from an incident late in June.
On June 24th a member of the public called police to say he had seen a kitten thrown from a vehicle in front of him on Parkedale Avenue. The witness followed the cat and took it to a safe place where it could be treated for injuries suffered during the incident.
According to Brockville Police staff at the shelter says the cat, which is now known as Casper, recovered from all his injuries. Casper was then adopted by a local family. The I Am Alive shelter would like to thank everyone who helped with the investigation and recovery of Casper.
After reviewing all of the information they collected, including dash camera footage, police were not able to identify the person or vehicle responsible due to the volume of traffic in the area at the time.
