Robyn MacPhee’s rink from PEI beat Ayumi Ogasawara of Japan 6-2 in the Royal LePage OVCA Fall Classic championship game yesterday. Ogasawara got off to an early lead in the second end but MacPhee responded in the 3rd and 4th and never looked back.
To get to the final game MacPhee downed Sherry Middaugh 8-7 in the Quarter Final and beat Ottawa’s Hollie Nicol 5-3 in the Semi-Final.
Qgasawara won her quarterfinal game 6-1 over Uxbridge’s Janet McGhee and, in the Semi-Final game, beat Ottawa’s Danielle Inglis 5-4.
